"Blessed is the woman who trusts and hopes in God. She is like a tree planted by the waters which spreads out its roots by the river, and does not fear when heat comes. The leaves are green and there is no anxiety in the year of drought, nor does it cease from yeilding fruit."

The neighbor boy gave me the greatest compliment on the painting. He came in while I was painting and said, "That's the tree in your yard, isn't it?" I replied, "Yes." And then in an almost dreamy way he said, "Where are the boards?" I knew what he was talking about because there are boards in that tree, but I had painted them of my picture. He and my son had built their own simple "tree dwelling" by wedging boards between the strongest branches.
When I told him that the boards were still there, he seemed satisfied and said, "I've spent a lot of time in that tree."
It made me happy that my picture brought all that back for him (oh, that we could all remember spending time in a tree!) and perhaps when I paint it again, I shall include the boards : )
