“My Heart Leaps” is a collection of art and writing expressing the
passion of my heart’s journey toward the heart of God. The images,
words, and scriptures have come as I have spent time in the private
sanctuary of my own heart.
“My Heart Leaps” is a chronicle of my encounters with God. They are
intensely personal and speak honestly about real life, real pain, real
struggles, and a real God who is intimately present in it all.
How Others Describe My Work:
“Every time I look at one of your paintings or read your
devotional, it floods my soul with deep and intimate longing.
It stirs the hunger and intense need within me to be known,
understood and loved by God.”
“Your images and words are powerful and infused with
spirit. You have been blessed with a healing gift.”
“As others lose themselves in your expressions of the heart
they begin to see their longing being embraced by God and
suddenly joy floods their soul as they begin to realize that
He indeed knows, understands, and lavishes His love on
them continually.”
"Your art makes me to feel my soul."

ARTIST STATEMENT
I never set out to be an artist or writer. I'm still not sure how it
happened, but I know it started as a prayer (actually a
desperate cry) for God to give me some way to express the
intense passion and life within me. Drawing, painting, and
other forms of creative expression became outlets for me. But
they also became ways of embracing, absorbing, and
remembering the truths I was discovering… truths about
myself, about life, about God.
The images, scriptures, and words come to me as I spend
time in the private sanctuary of my own heart. Here I express
my thoughts and concerns, my struggles, my joys, my fears,
my confusion…whatever is on my heart…which opens a
door to God’s presence. My drawing, painting, and writing
are chronicles of these encounters.
I call myself a “graphic psalmist”. The Psalmist intimately
shares her passion and life and how God meets her in the
midst of it all. When others read (or sing) what the psalmist
writes, they get in touch with their own heart and come to
know God’s heart and presence in a deeper way. This is my
desire in sharing my writing and art.
